I was just wondering...

If they're not made with grapes, and they're not made with nuts,
why are they called Grape Nuts?

  1. They named tham after the fruity nuts that eat them!!! LOL! I am one of them...I adore the crunchy, long-lasting goodness of this stuff! I haven't had any in years because I switched to Kashi cereals, but now I will go get some tonight remembering how long it used to take to eat a bowl of Grape Nuts!!!

  2. I like them in yogurt. Eaten plain, they taste sorta like dog biscuits. (Of course, I've tasted dog biscuits. Hasn't everyone??)And I think Kashi tastes like wood chips. He he!

Ah, for the good old days of Frosted Flakes and Lucky Charms...

Reluctantly, I have reinstated the word verification for all comments on this blog. I don't like it any more than you do, but the rate of breakthrough spam was even more annoying. Thanks for understanding.
